Poetry for Pleasure is a friendly supportive group which meets monthly on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month from 2.00 pm until 3.30 pm. on Zoom.

The group is small, with only 8 members at each meeting, so that everyone has a chance to read and discuss the poems.

The format is that each member chooses a poem and brings 8 copies to the group so we can each have one. We then take turns to read our poem, and there’s a time for any thoughts or responses from the others, and then we read it again for a second time after we have thought and talked about it. As the poems are by individual choice, there is an enjoyable variety.
