About Us

Our monthly meeting is held on the first Tuesday of each month (unless stated otherwise in our program) from 10.00am to 12.30pm at The Arena, 1 Rutland Street, Ilkeston DE7 8DG.  Doors open at 9.40 am.

We are a very welcoming and vibrant U3A and if you join us you won’t be disappointed. Come along and enjoy a great opportunity to make new friends share knowledge, skills and experience, and get involved in Interest Groups.

Visitors are charged a fee of £2 which is refundable if you join on the day.

We aim to have a varied programme at these meetings – some will have speakers, whilst others will be of a more social nature. During refreshment time you can chat to other members, learn all about the organisation and find out about, and sign up to, the Interest Groups and other events.

To date we have had speakers talk about St. Pancras Station, Forensic Science, Bee-keeping, Heage Windmill, Back yard Astronomy, Lindisfarne and Combat in the British Civil Wars, to name just a few.
